The GT STRUDL Users Group has issued a "Call for Presentations" for the June 2011 Annual Users Group Meeting & Training Seminar.  This meeting will be attended by civil/structural engineers from around the world who are interested in fine tuning their GT STRUDL expertise.  Presentations that exhibit the versatility of GT STRUDL from another person perspective gives attendees a broader insight into GT STRUDL.  There will be time at the conclusion of each presentation for you and the CASE Center staff to respond to questions from attendees related to your project.  Being a presenter at this meeting affords you with a great opportunity to exhibit and promote the work being done by your company to the engineering community.  Details on how to submit your presentation are listed below:

  • Submission Deadline:      February 1, 2011

 

PRESENTATION TOPIC

 

Presentations addressing one of the following areas:

  •  Applications of GT STRUDL for Civil / Structural Analysis & Design Projects, or Failure Investigations 
  • Interfaces developed between GT STRUDL and other applications
  • Databases, Spreadsheets, and other Software used in conjunction with GT STRUDL, or
  • Techniques used with GT STRUDL that have increased productivity

The presentations must be in Power Point (PPT) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.  No formal paper is required although handouts are recommended for seminar attendees.  Presentations submitted in electronic format may be chosen by the Georgia Tech - CASE Center to be posted at the GT STRUDL Web site (www.gtstrudl.gatech.edu) following the meeting.

 

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Submission of an original GT STRUDL project not previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere in the form of a "Condensed Abstract" should be emailed to the CASE Center along with your biographical data.  Abstract should not exceed 500 words (approximately one (1) typed 8 ½ x 11 page).  Submission should be sent via Email to the Users Group Coordinator This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., at the Georgia Tech-CASE Center prior to the February 1st deadline.  The committee may not be able to consider late submissions, or submissions that do not have a working and attended return Email address.  Receipt of the submissions will be acknowledged by Email.  All presentations given at the 23rd Annual Users Group Meeting will be eligible for the annual GT STRUDL "Award for Excellence" which is then eligible for a Cash Award.
