We would like to inform you that GTSTRUDL® Version 2016 (35) has been officially released and will be distributed to customers having an active maintenance contract. Else, if you want to upgrade to version 2016 (35), you have to renew your maintenance contract with STRUDL Europe.
Due to the acquisition of GTSTRUDL® from INTERGRAPH the development resources have been significantly increased in order to improve the product, and the product gains added value.
Apart from acquiring the Intellectual Property Rights of GTSTRUDL® from Georgia Tech, INTERGRAPH also purchased ATLAS (CAD Platform – GTI Generator, new name: CAD Modeler) from our company, STRUDL Europe, and we will continue developing it, together with INTERGRAPH.
The new version, 2016, includes the latest version of CAD Modeler in the same license and CD, at no additional cost.
Most important new features of Version 2016 are:
- New GTMENU user interface with significantly improved usability and graphical display and the ability to easily use the mouse for zooming and rotation of the model
- Enhancements to the AutoCAD based CAD Modeler (first introduced in Version 2015) including the ability to specify area loads and query the database using member filters as well as improved result display (watch Video)
- Seismic provisions from ANSI/AISC 341-10 have been added to the AISC14 steel design code
- Offshore fatigue S-N curves have been enhanced now and may be assigned to brace/chord weld sides with a single fatigue analysis covering all applicable S-N curves.
